Episode 1: "Under the Dome" and Environmental Activism

This episode of East Asia for All is about Under the Dome, a documentary by reporter Chai Jing that came out in 2015. The film covers China’s current pollution problems and the environmental crisis. The film was quickly censored within China less than a week after it debuted, which also allows us to discuss internet censorship within the People's Republic of China (PRC). If you haven’t seen Under the Dome yet, you can watch it here on Youtube with English subtitles. We both really admired the film and we hope that you will too! You can listen to our Under the Dome episode below or find it on iTunes.
